'n Beeld van die ster HD 84406 wat op 11 Februarie 2022 deur die James Webb-ruimteteleskoop geneem is ná die eerste fase van die instelling van die primêre spieël. Die segmente van die spieël was nog nie ingestel nie en dit het nie reg gefokus nie. Daar was dus 18 dowwe foto's van dieselfde ster.

HD 84406 is 'n ster sowat 258,5 ligjare van die Son af in die sterrebeeld Groot Beer. Dit is 'n ster van spektraaltipe G en het 'n groot eiebeweging.

Op 4 Februarie 2022 was HD 84406 die eerste ster wat deur die James Webb-ruimteteleskoop afgeneem is om die 18 segmente van die teleskoop se primêre spieël te toets en in te stel.[6][7][8] Op 11 Februarie 2022 het Nasa die eerste foto's van HD 84406 gepubliseer.[9]
