Matiyen

Matiyen, Matiyene, Mantiyen və ya Mantiyene — Güney Azərbaycanın^[1]^[2] qərbində padşahlıq adı idi. Strabon, Ptolemy, Herodot, Polibi və Böyük Plini də daxil olmaqla qədim tarixçilər Medianın şimal-qərbində yerləşən bir bölgəni təyin etmək üçün Mantiane, Martiane, Matiana, Matiani, Matiene, Martuni kimi adları qeyd etmişlər.^[3]^[4]
