The 2022 Interwetten German Darts Championship was the second of thirteen PDC European Tour events on the 2022 PDC Pro Tour.[1] The tournament took place at Halle 39, Hildesheim from 11 to 13 March 2022.[2] It featured a field of 48 players and £140,000 in prize money, with £25,000 going to the winner.
Devon Petersen was the defending champion after defeating Jonny Clayton 8–3 in the 2020 final,[3][4] but lost to Michael Smith in the second round.
Michael van Gerwen won his 33rd European Tour title after beating Rob Cross 8–5 in the final,[5][6] after surviving three match darts in his semi-final match against Dimitri Van den Bergh.[7]
