The 2024 Appalachian State Mountaineers football team represented Appalachian State University in the Sun Belt Conference's East Division during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Mountaineers were led by Shawn Clark in his fifth year as the head coach. The Mountaineers played their home games at the Kidd Brewer Stadium, located in Boone, North Carolina.

Shawn Clark was fired as the Mountaineers' head coach on December 2, finishing his career at Appalachian State with an overall record of 40–24. This was the Mountaineers' first losing season since 2013, and the program's first losing season at the FBS level.[1] On December 7, South Carolina offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains was hired as the Mountaineers' new head coach.[2]
