On February 9, 2024, an Eurocopter EC130 crashed in the Mojave Desert near Nipton, California around 10:00 p.m. PST. Six people were on board, including Nigerian banker Herbert Wigwe and former Nigerian Exchange Group Plc Chairman Abimbola Ogunbanjo. There were no survivors.[1]
