The 2026 California Attorney General election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the Attorney General of California. Incumbent Democratic Attorney General Rob Bonta is eligible to seek re-election to a second term in office but may potentially run for Governor.[1][2] Candidates must declare by March 6 with primaries being held on June 2.[3]
