The Achaguas Municipality is one of the seven municipalities (municipios) that makes up the Venezuelan state of Apure has an area of 15,754 km2 and, according to the 2011 census by the National Institute of Statistics of Venezuela, the municipality has a population of 58,516. [1] The town of Achaguas is the municipal seat of the Achaguas Municipality.[2]
