Adygeysk (Russian: Адыгейск; Adyghe: Адыгэкъалэ, romanized: Adıgəqalə) is a town in the Republic of Adygea, Russia, located near Krasnodar Reservoir, 100 kilometers (62 mi) northwest of Maykop, the capital of the republic. Population: 12,721 (2020), 12,237 (2010 Census);[3] 12,209 (2002 Census);[7]
It was previously known as Adygeysk(y) (until July 27, 1976),[8][2][9]Teuchezhsk (until 1990).[2]
