Agapovsky District (Russian: Ага́повский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the southwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,603.6 square kilometers (1,005.3 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Agapovka.[1] Population: 34,779 (2010 Census);[3] 37,816 (2002 Census);[5] 35,919 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Agapovka accounts for 18.9% of the district's total population.[3]
