Ain Ebel (Arabic: عين إبل) is a municipality [1] in the Nabatieh/Nabatiye Governorate, about 90 kilometers (56 miles) south of Beirut. Its inhabitants are predominantly Maronite Christian.[2]
As cross-border shelling between Hezbollah and Israel continues, many residents, especially women and children, have fled to Lebanon's capital, Beirut.[3]
