Airvault (French pronunciation: [ɛʁvo]) is a commune in the Deux-Sèvres department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in western France. It is located on the River Thouet.
In January 1973 Airvault absorbed the former communes Borcq-sur-Airvault, Boussais et Soulièvres.[3] On 1 January 2019, the former commune of Tessonnière was merged into Airvault.[4]
