The People's National Army (PNA) (Arabic: الجيش الوطني الشعبي) is the military of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. It is the direct successor of the National Liberation Army (NLA), the armed wing of the National Liberation Front (NLF), which fought French colonial rule during the Algerian War of Independence (1954–1962).
