Alison Phipps is a British political sociologist, gender studies scholar and feminist theorist, who is a professor of sociology at Newcastle University's School of Geography, Politics and Sociology. She is also an honorary professor of sociology at York University's Department of Sociology, affiliated to the Centre for Women's Studies.^[1]
