Barendrecht (Dutch: [ˈbaːrə(n)ˌdrɛxt] ⓘ) is a town and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, near Rotterdam, South Holland. The municipality had a population of 48,643 in 2021, and covers an area of 21.73 km2 (8.39 sq mi) of which 1.98 km2 (0.76 sq mi) is water.
The municipality of Barendrecht also includes Barendrecht-Carnisselande and Smitshoek.
