Bessarabske (Ukrainian: Бессарабське), formerly known as Tarutyne (Ukrainian: Тарутине; Bulgarian: Тарутино, romanized: Tarutino; Romanian: Tarutino or Ancecrac),[1] is a rural settlement in southwestern Ukraine. It is located in Bolhrad Raion (district) of Odesa Oblast and in the historical region of Budjak in southern Bessarabia. Bessarabske hosts the administration of Bessarabske settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine.[2] Population: 5,692 (2022 estimate).[3]
