Bokovsky District (Russian: Бо́ковский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,927 square kilometers (744 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Bokovskaya.[1] Population: 15,085 (2010 Census);[3] 16,111 (2002 Census);[6] 19,212 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Bokovskaya accounts for 32.0% of the district's total population.[3]
