Byeon Woo-seok (Korean: 변우석; born October 31, 1991) is a South Korean actor and model. His accolades include APAN Star Awards, six Asia Artist Awards,[2] Melon Music Awards, a MAMA Awards,[3] as well as nomination for a Baeksang Arts Awards,[4] a Buil Film Awards,[5] and a Grand Bell Awards.[6]
Byeon debuted as a model in 2010, starting with a collaboration show with a emergeing model brand. He made his international debut through the 2015 F/W Men's Fashion Show on seven runways.[7] Byeon transitioned to acting in 2016 with minor roles in several dramas such as Dear My Friends (2016), Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo (2016), Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (2016), Record of Youth (2020), and Strong Girl Nam-soon (2023). He gained widespread popularity[8] for his portrayal as Ryu Sun-jae in the time slip, romantic comedy, television series Lovely Runner (2024).[9] Byeon other works of this period include having sung the original soundtrack (OST) for the drama Lovely Runner which charted on the Billboard Global 200.[10] He made his debut on the big screen in the Netflix film 20th Century Girl (2022).[11] The following year, he starred in Soulmate (2023).
