Clémentine or Clementine is a French feminine form of Clement. The name has been in use in English-speaking countries since the 19th century. In the United States, the name has associations with Oh My Darling, Clementine, a traditional American, tragic but sometimes comic, Western folk ballad[1] and with the citrus fruit named in honor of Clément Rodier, a French missionary who first discovered and propagated the cultivar in Algeria.
