Derrick Lee Burgess (born August 12, 1978) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons, primarily with the Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders. He was selected by the Eagles in the third round of the 2001 NFL draft where he spent four seasons before joining Oakland. During his four seasons with the Raiders, he twice received Pro Bowl honors and led the league in sacks in 2005. After one season with the New England Patriots, Burgess rejoined the Eagles for his final season in 2010.
