The digital television transition in the United States was the switchover from analog to exclusively digital broadcasting of terrestrial television programming. It was originally set for December 31, 2006, but was delayed several times. Full-power analog broadcasting ceased on June 12, 2009, but various aspects of analog television were continued until 2022.
