Dum Maaro Dum (transl. Hit a puff) is a 2011 Hindi-language action thriller film[3][4] directed by Rohan Sippy and starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu in the lead roles, with Rana Daggubati, Prateik Babbar and Aditya Pancholi in supporting roles. The film is a co-production between India and the United States and was shot in Goa. Deepika Padukone makes a special appearance in the remix version of the song of the same title.[5] The music has been composed by Pritam. It became the first Indian film to have its soundtrack mixed in Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound.[6]
Jump Games, an Indian mobile video game developer, also released a platformer based on the film.[7]
If the first theatrical trailer of Rohan Sippy's gritty action thriller, Dum Maaro Dum, is any indication, then it seems like Abhishek Bachchan is set to become Bollywood's new angry young man. Like his father Amitabh Bachchan, the actor too will feature in 'physical' fight sequences.
Directed by Rohan Sippy, Dum Maaro Dum is an action-thriller with Abhishek playing a fearless cop.
