Ethel Leonor Noia Maciel (born 17 November 1968; Baixo Guandu) is a Brazilian PhD, epidemiologist, nurse, and current Secretary of Health Surveillance and Environment,[1] an internal secretary of Brazil's Ministry of Health and the Chairperson for the Tuberculosis Research Network from World Health Organization.[2] She is a researcher in infectious diseases with a special focus on tuberculosis.
