Gerard Arthur Way (born April 9, 1977) is an American singer, songwriter, and comic book writer. He[a] is best known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the rock band My Chemical Romance. He released his debut solo album, Hesitant Alien, in 2014.
Way co-created and wrote the comic series The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys and The Umbrella Academy,[2][3] the latter of which was later adapted into a popular Netflix series that ran for four seasons. He is also the founder of DC Comics' Young Animal imprint, and wrote the imprint's flagship series, Doom Patrol.
