2016: Breaks into the top 32 on the PDC Order of Merit for the first time. 2018: First Welshman to win a PDC televised major by winning the Grand Slam of Darts. 2021: Becomes first Welshman to win the PDC World Championship and becomes world number 1. 2022: Hits his first nine-dart finish at the 2022 World Championship in his quarter-final match against Michael Smith. 2022: Hits two nine-dart finishes on Premier League Darts Night 3. 2022: Hits a record 4th televised nine-dart finish in one year against Danny Noppert in the semi-final of the 2022 World Matchplay.

Gerwyn Price (born 7 March 1985) is a Welsh professional darts player and former professional rugby union and rugby league player. He competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number nine; he was ranked world number one on three occasions from 2021 to 2022. Nicknamed "The Iceman", he is a former PDC World Champion, having won the 2021 World Championship. Price has won seven PDC majors, including three Grand Slam titles, the 2021 World Grand Prix, and the World Series Finals on two occasions. He is also a two-time PDC World Cup of Darts champion, winning the 2020 and 2023 events, where he represented Wales alongside Jonny Clayton. He has also won three World Series of Darts titles. Price has won a total of 37 PDC titles in his professional career.

Price broke into the top 32 on the PDC Order of Merit in 2016 and soon afterwards won his first Pro Tour title. Price finished as runner-up in his first major final at the 2017 UK Open. He won his first major title at the 2018 Grand Slam of Darts, a tournament he would win again a year later in 2019. Price defeated Gary Anderson in the 2021 World Championship final to win his fourth major title. He won his fifth and sixth later that year at the World Grand Prix, and Grand Slam respectively.

Price has also played rugby union for Welsh Premier Division sides Neath and Cross Keys, Pro12 with Glasgow Warriors and rugby league with South Wales Scorpions.^[3]
