Hero No.1 is a 1997 Bollywood dramedy film directed by David Dhawan. It stars Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in lead roles. The core plot of the film is based on Bengali film Galpo Holeo Satti (1966), which was earlier made in Hindi as Bawarchi by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It was remade in Telugu as Goppinti Alludu.
