Jenny Frederikke Blicher-Clausen, pen name John Bentsen, (1865–1907) was a Danish writer who is remembered above all for her poetry, especially for her first publication Digte (Poems, 1885) and for Violin (1900). She also wrote plays, including Christian den Anden (Christian II, 1889) which was performed at Copenhagen's Dagmar Theatre. She gained popularity not only in Denmark but in Germany, Sweden and Finland. The composer Rued Langgaard was inspired to put some of her poems to music.[1][2][3]
