Joseph Khalil Aoun (/aʊn/; Arabic: جوزاف خليل عون[a]; born 10 January 1964) is a Lebanese politician and army general who has served as the 14th president of Lebanon since January 9, 2025.[1][2] He was appointed as the 14th commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces in 2017.[3]
