Rathnam on Sri Surya Movies banner, the film stars Kunal and Sonali Bendre in lead roles, while Nassar, Manivannan, Goundamani and Chinni Jayanth appear in supporting roles. The film features music composed by A. R. Rahman with cinematography by P. C. Sreeram. It follows a love story of two youngsters that begins through an internet chatroom and takes a turn when the hero has second thoughts after discovering his lover’s true identity.
