Kytmanovsky District (Russian: Кы́тмановский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the krai. The area of the district is 2,550 square kilometers (980 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Kytmanovo.[1] Population: 13,896 (2010 Census);[3] 17,257 (2002 Census);[6] 18,469 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Kytmanovo accounts for 27.9% of the district's total population.[3]
