Levashinsky District (Russian: Левашинский райо́н; Dargwa: Лавашала къатI; Avar: Лаваша мухъ) is an administrative[1] and municipal[5] district (raion), one of the forty-one in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia. It is located in the center of the republic. The area of the district is 830 square kilometers (320 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Levashi.[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 70,704, with the population of Levashi accounting for 14.2% of that number.[3]
