Miyako (宮古市, Miyako-shi) is a city located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 April 2020[update], the city had an estimated population of 51,150, and a population density of 41 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 1,259.15 square kilometers (486.16 sq mi).[1]
