Monica Ann Conyers (Esters, October 31, 1964) is an American politician from Detroit, Michigan. Elected to the Detroit City Council in 2005, she was elected by its members to serve as president pro tempore of the council for the four-year term.[1] She was convicted of accepting bribes in 2009 and sentenced to 37 months in prison.
