Ostrogozhsky District (Russian: Острого́жский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[3] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. It is located in the west of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,725 square kilometers (666 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the town of Ostrogozhsk.[1] Population: 55,747 (2021 Census);[5] 61,291 (2010 Census);[2] 27,972 (2002 Census);[6] 31,201 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Ostrogozhsk accounts for 58.3% of the district's total population.[5]
