Philip Candelas, FRS[3] (born 24 October 1951, London, UK)[2][4] is a British physicist and mathematician.[5][6] After 20 years at the University of Texas at Austin, he served as Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford until 2020 and is a Fellow of Wadham College, Oxford.[2][7]
