Randi Chaplin Matushevitz (born in Rochester, New York in 1965) is an American artist known for her work in ‘charcoal, ink, pastel, spray-paint, and acrylic; graffiti-like mark-making, gestural strokes, collage-like stencils’ whose ‘moody, urban-baroque vision evoke a dark fairy tale world.’[1] Contemporary Art Curator Magazine noted, "Her recent portraits investigate uncertainty, and reflect the reactive mania or calm surrounding layers of wear and tear on the soul..."[2]
