It is traditionally bred at the Warendorf State Stud [de], which it shares with the Westphalian, and is bred to the same standard as the Westphalian and other German warmbloods, such as the Bavarian Warmblood, Mecklenburger, Brandenburger, and Württemberger.^{[citation needed]}
