Sandhya Roy is an Indian actress and politician.[1][2] She reigned as a leading actress of Bengali cinema for nearly 30 years. She has received numerous awards including four BFJA Awards[3] and a Filmfare Award for Best Actress for Ganadevata.
Roy made her silver screen debut with Mamlar Phol (1956).[4] She was catapulted to stardom after she starred in Nagini Kanyar Kahini (1958).
