Sauroniops is a controversial, potentially dubious, genus of carnivorous basal carcharodontosaurid theropod dinosaur known from the Late Cretaceous (Cenomanian stage) of Morocco. It is mainly known from the Gara Sbaa Formation of the Kem Kem beds and contains a single species, S. platytholus.[1]
