Serravalle (Romagnol: Saravâl) is one of the nine castelli of San Marino. It has a population of 10,878^[1] inhabitants (of whom 2,000 are of foreign origin) and an area of 10.53 km² (4 sq. mi.). It is both the most populated and densely populated municipality in San Marino, and contains its largest settlement (Dogana). Serravalle is located on the edge of the Apennine Mountains.
