Shadrinsky District (Russian: Шадринский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,100 square kilometers (1,600 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Shadrinsk (which is not administratively a part of the district).[1] Population: 27,360 (2010 Census);[3] 33,331 (2002 Census);[6] 35,256 (1989 Soviet census).[7]
