Stephen Squeri (born 1959) is an American business executive[3] and Chairman and CEO of American Express. He first joined American Express in 1985,[4] becoming chief information officer in 2005[2] and vice chairman in 2015,[5] along with other upper management roles.[5][6] Squeri became chairman and CEO of American Express on February 1, 2018.[5][6]

He is currently chairman of the Manhattan College board of trustees,[7] a board member at the Partnership for New York City,[8] on the board of trustees of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center,[9] a chair of the corporate governance committee of the Business Roundtable,[10] and member of The Business Council,[9] among other roles.[11]
