Sulka is a language isolate of New Britain, Papua New Guinea.[2] In 1991, there were 2,500 speakers in eastern Pomio District, East New Britain Province.[3] Villages include Guma (5°16′33″S 152°05′32″E / 5.275769°S 152.092315°E) in East Pomio Rural LLG.[4] With such a low population of speakers, this language is considered to be endangered.[citation needed] Sulka speakers had originally migrated to East New Britain from New Ireland.[5]
