Suzana Gartner is an author, former lawyer, mediator, and advocate for animal rights. She is the founder of Gartner & Associates Animal Law,^[1] Canada’s first law firm dedicated exclusively to animal law and the mediation of animal law disputes. After retiring from legal practice, she continued to advocate for animal rights through writing, public speaking, and media appearances. Her book, A Voice for Animals: The Movement that Provides Dignity and Compassion for Animals, is about the emotional bond between animals and humans.^[2]
