Syktyvdinsky District (Russian: Сыктывдинский райо́н; Komi: Сыктывдін район, Syktyvdïn rajon) is an administrative district (raion), one of the twelve in the Komi Republic, Russia.[1] It is located in the south of the republic. The area of the district is 7,405 square kilometers (2,859 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Vylgort.[1] As of the 2010 Census, the total population of the district was 22,660, with the population of Vylgort accounting for 45.4% of that number.[3]
