Takehara (竹原市, Takehara-shi) is a city located in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 30 April 2023[update], the city had an estimated population of 23,350 in 12034 households and a population density of 200 persons per km2.[1] The total area of the city is 118.23 square kilometres (45.65 sq mi).
