The United Africans Transformation (UAT) is a minor political party in South Africa.[1] It was founded in November 2022 by a group of individuals who broke away from the African National Congress (ANC).[2] The UAT is centered around Africanism, pan-Africanism, and socialism.[1][2] Following the 2024 South African general election, president Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the UAT had joined the government of national unity (GNU).[3][4] However, the UAT withdrew from the GNU after it did not receive any positions in the Cabinet.[5]
