Ust-Donetsky District (Russian: Усть-Доне́цкий райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,150 square kilometers (440 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Ust-Donetsky.[1] Population: 33,647 (2010 Census);[2] 32,479 (2002 Census);[6] 30,374 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 35.1% of the district's total population.[2]
