Vivek Joshi (born 21 May 1966[2]) is a 1989 retired Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Haryana cadre.On,19 February 2025 he assumed charge of Election Commissioner of India. [3][4]Before this, he served as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Haryana from 1 November 2024 till 18 February 2025. Previously, he served as Personnel Secretary of India from 19 August 2024 till 31 October 2024. Before that, he served as Secretary, the Department of Financial Services. [5][6]
