The Best Damn Thing —en español: La mejor maldita cosa— es el tercer álbum de estudio de la cantautora canadiense Avril Lavigne, lanzado el 13 de abril de 2007. Fue el sexto disco más vendido del año, según IFPI, siendo el tercer álbum más vendido de la cantante, después de Let Go y Under My Skin.
Allmusic destacó el álbum como uno de los más significativos del punk pop de todos los tiempos.[5] Así como también destacó el sencillo «Girlfriend», el cual llegó a ser el primer número 1 de Lavigne en el Billboard Hot 100.[6]
