Le projet de conservation des eaux d'Altash[1](en chinois : 阿尔塔什水利枢纽工程)[2], également appelé barrage d'Altash[3] est le plus grand projet de conservation de l'eau du Xinjiang[4]. Le barrage d'Altash est situé dans le cours supérieur de la rivière Yarkant et au cœur des montagnes Kunlun[5], en région autonome ouïgoure[6]. Il est parfois surnommé « barrage des Trois Gorges du Xinjiang »[7] par certains experts chinois[8].
